VanityCam smooths your skin live on webcam calls and streams. It is a separate app from VanityFilter, which treats recorded video. VanityCam works on the moment itself, so what your audience sees is already the finished look.
What VanityCam does
VanityCam is a virtual camera. It takes the feed from your webcam, applies skin smoothing in real time, and presents the result to the apps you use for meetings and streaming. You choose VanityCam as your camera source in a compatible video app, and that app receives the processed picture.
The smoothing is live, not applied later. That is the difference from VanityFilter, which works on recorded video files. With VanityCam there is no post-production step. The look is on the feed before the call starts.
System requirements
VanityCam runs on Windows 11 64-bit. It needs a DirectX 11 GPU with DirectML support and a compatible webcam. Local processing and license validation happen on your machine. VanityCam does not upload your footage. The meeting or streaming service you use has its own data practices, which are separate from VanityCam.
Getting started
Install VanityCam with administrator approval and accept the EULA. When the app opens, choose your webcam and select Start. Then open your video app, such as OBS or Zoom, and choose VanityCam as the camera. If VanityCam does not appear in the list, restart the video app and check again.
You can continue with the on-screen mark or activate a license. The mark is part of the free mode, not a trial. Free marked output has no expiration and can be used in normal calls and in public or commercial streams, as long as the mark stays visible. Do not hide or remove it.
Preview and controls
Before others see the feed, you can check it yourself. Preview modes show Original, Processed, Split, and Mask views. Hold the Space bar at any time to see the original feed without smoothing.
Seven controls shape the effect: Amount, Strength, Smoothing radius, Texture repair, Detail restore, Brighten, and Reduce redness. Built-in presets give quick starting points: Light touch, Standard, and Heavy. Two user preset slots store your own settings, and presets can be exported and imported as .vcpreset files.
Output is available at 1280x720 or 1920x1080, and the receiving app chooses which to use. The Output size setting may offer 1080p first. Use Stop and Start to apply a change.
Licenses
A one-time VanityCam license costs $29.95 USD and removes the mark for one user on two machines. VanitySuite costs $49.95 USD and includes one key for both VanityCam and VanityFilter. A VanityFilter-only key will not activate VanityCam.
