The preview shows the processed picture by default. Four view buttons let you compare, and holding Space flips the preview to the original without changing what your call receives.

The chip in the corner shows the frame rate and how long the engine takes per frame, so you can tell it is keeping up with your camera.

Setup
Four steps to your first smoothed call
- Run the signed installer. Windows asks for administrator rights once, to register the VanityCam camera.
- Open VanityCam, accept the EULA, then continue with the mark or paste a license key.
- Pick your webcam in the bar at the bottom and press Start.
- In your video app, choose VanityCam as the camera. If it is not in the list, restart that app.

VanityCam questions, answered
Does VanityCam work on Windows 10?
No. VanityCam is built on the virtual camera framework that arrived with Windows 11, so it needs Windows 11, 64-bit. VanityFilter, our app for recorded video, runs on 64-bit Windows 10 (version 1809 or later) or Windows 11, and on Apple Silicon Macs with macOS 14 or later.
Will people on the call see the mark?
In free mode, yes. A small VanityCam mark sits in the corner of the picture for everyone on the call, and a one-time license removes it. Your own self-view looks mirrored because most apps mirror it; everyone else sees it the right way round.
What resolution does VanityCam send?
VanityCam offers 1280x720 and 1920x1080 and your video app chooses. OBS and other streaming tools let you pick either one. Zoom, Teams and Meet take whichever size is offered first, so the Camera page has an Output size setting: choose 1920x1080 first, press Stop and then Start, and the larger picture goes to every app. The chip in the corner shows which size is going out.
Is my video uploaded anywhere?
No. Video processing and license checks happen on your computer. The only network access is an optional once-a-day update check, which sends the application version and can be turned off under Help.
Will my VanityFilter license activate VanityCam?
No. A VanityFilter-only key does not activate VanityCam. The VanityCam license is a one-time $19.95 payment that removes the mark for one person on two computers. VanitySuite is $49.95, with one key for both apps.
Can I use it with my meeting app's own touch-up?
Yes. Zoom's touch-up and background effects stack on top of VanityCam if you want them. Pick VanityCam as the camera and leave the rest as it is.
How do I stop VanityCam?
Closing the window keeps the camera running in the tray, ready for the next meeting. Press Stop to remove the camera from Windows, or quit from the tray icon.
