VanityFilter gives you 16 controls for the treatment and mask, then shows exactly where the effect lands. Treat every detected face, only the primary face, or skip small background faces. Preview the result, compare it with the original, and export only the range you need.
Treat the right faces
Detect up to five faces in one frame. Each gets its own sampled skin color and protected eye, brow, and lip regions. Primary face only treats the largest, most central face. Ignore small faces leaves background people alone.
See the mask before you export
Inspect any sampled frame as Processed, Mask, Original, or Split. Zoom to 400% and check the actual boundary around hair, hats, glasses, clothing, and the set before you commit to a render.
Correct the problem, not the whole face
Separate controls handle smoothing, texture repair, brightness, shine, and redness. Amount scales the full treatment toward the original after you build the look, so you do not have to retune every slider.
Blemish removal Experimental
The Blemish removal control repairs small acne spots from the surrounding skin before smoothing. It preserves isolated marks and facial hair, but results can vary with skin tone and acne type.
Hold Space to compare
With a preview visible, hold Space from any normal control to see the original frame. Release it to return to the processed preview. Check a change without moving the playhead, switching views, or losing your current settings.
Test a short range first
Set In and Out times in seconds or mm:ss to export part of a single clip. VanityFilter cuts the audio to the same frame-quantized range. The status bar reports processing speed and estimated time remaining.
Drop in a batch
Drag one video or a whole batch anywhere onto the window. Files process one at a time, and a failed file does not stop the rest of the queue. The same batch controls are available from the command line.
Presets that travel
Start with five built-in presets or save your own settings in four persistent user slots. Import and export shareable .vfpreset files, then load the same preset from the desktop app or the command line.
Files ready for the editor
Export H.264 MP4 or ProRes 422 HQ MOV with the original audio. Add a grayscale mask matte for a luma track matte, plus a settings JSON sidecar that records how the render was made.
English or Spanish, fully offline
The interface, tooltips, and error messages are available in English or Latin American Spanish. Both PDF manuals ship with the installer. Preview, processing, and export stay on your Windows computer. Videos are never uploaded.
